奇 - strange - extraño

Mnemonics:
  • The upper Kanji means big 大 and it looks like a man opening his arms. The lower part
    indicates possibility 可
  • I found it easy to imagine that the Kanji represents a man about to jump to the track of a train that is passing a tunel in order to commit suicide. Isn't it strange that in Japan there are so many suicides?!
  • All these Kanji that have it as radical are pronnounced KI as well: 寄騎碕倚剞掎欹

袋 - sack - saco

Mnemonics:
  • Upper part means to change 代 and lower part means clothes 衣. Most Kanji that contain the clothes part 衣, refer to some kind of clothes. Imagine a person that has a collection of gloves with thousands of colors. Every day he changes color of his gloves!!
